The secret of Lemuria

1st stage: Antananarivo - Miandrivazo

From the capital Antananarivo, it is a 170 km journey south to the gemstone capital Antsirabe. Here you can attend the workshops of Joseph Edelstein and visit the lovely street market. A visit to the famous "Marcel" and his little bon-bon factory is of course part of our tour program. From Antsirabe we head west through the "Zone Rouge" up to Miandrivazo. This small town is the starting point for our boat tour that will take several days to complete.

2nd stage: Miandrivazo - Bekopaka

On the market in Miandrivazo we will buy provisions for the adventurous boat tour, and then we will surrender to the tranquility of the River. In the afternoon we will set up camp in the midst of unspoiled nature. The next morning we will continue our boat tour and around noon we will reach a gorgeous waterfall. Here you can refresh yourself for the journey ahead. In the afternoon of the third day we will reach Belo from where we will hike to Antsiaraka.

3rd stage: Belo - Morondava

After spending the night in our very simple hotel, our vehicles will be waiting to take us in the direction of Tsingy de Bemaraha. Here we can enjoy the rugged wilderness and go in search of the rare needle rock Sifakas. After our interesting and exciting stay in the fortress of Bemaraha, we will travel the Bao-Bab-route to Morondava. In the afternoon we will reach the legendary Bao-Bab Avenue.

4th stage: Andasibe - Manambato

From the capital Tana, we will drive 140 km towards the east until we reach the rain and cloud forests of Andasibe. In these forests you can encounter the largest of all lemurs, the Indri. In addition to the Indri, there are many other interesting animals that can be observed without much effort. From the rainforests of Andasibe, the tour takes us to the Canal de Pangalanes and the Lake of Kings. An interesting boat tour with a visit to a private Natural Park is on the itinerary. After this excursion our guests can go for a dip in the lake of kings and enjoy the beauty of this idyllic natural paradise.

5th stage: Manambato - St.Marie

From the Lake of kings we will travel north. In the largest port city in the east coast we will visit the spice market to stock up on vanilla, pepper, etc. Our journey will now take us to Mahavelona, "the place where you are born again". Here we will visit the historic castle built by King Rama I. After this visit we will go to the dream island of St. Marie and finally to Nosy Nato, where our guests can spend the remaining time snorkelling and relaxing.
